Meaford Sesquicentennial Art Show Submissions

Hello Artists! Submissions are now open for Meaford’s Birthday Show! We do anticipate a good number of entries and because it takes a lot of work behind the scenes to put on these big group shows, please don’t forget to include any info with your submission.

Submission Deadline: Friday May 17th, 2024 (No late entries will be accepted).

Art Revue: Selection of art will happen between May 18 – May 22 and we will contact artists by end of day May 24 to let them if their work has been chosen.

Art Drop-off: TBD – Will be sometime between May 25 and June 2.

Show Run: June 7 – July 1, 2024 (Artwork will hang for duration of the show).

Opening Reception: Friday June 7th 5:30-7:30PM

Art Pick-up: Between July 3-5

  • Open to any artist.
  • All submissions must either depict Meaford (past, present or future) or have a clear explanation of how the town of Meaford inspired the piece.
  • 1 – 3 individual pieces submitted per artist. No more than 3 please!
  • Painting, mixed media, prints, digital art and sculptural works will be accepted. No photography for this show.
  • Artwork for sale will be considered first but artwork that is not for sale may be accepted dependent on quality and number of submissions (Craig Gallery will take a 40% commission on anything sold at the show).
  • If work has been displayed previously in galleries or exhibitions please let us know when and where.
  • 2D work MUST BE ready to hang. Work should be framed or sides of canvas/board cleanly painted.

Art will be selected by gallery owners based on visual impact, size of work, uniqueness, context, and price point.

Please email and title your email “Meaford 150 Show.”

Please note: We are only accepting digital submissions by email, nothing printed or hand delivered. If you do not provide all info asked for it may result in your work not being accepted. Please do not leave pricing blank. If you have a question about how to price your art, please contact us in advance of submitting. Thanks you!

In the email please include the following:


  • Full name
  • Email
  • Phone Number
  • Address (include Postal Code)*
  • Artist Bio*
  • 1-3 jpegs of artwork being submitted.
  • Description of each work including size and medium.
  • Please indicate if the work has been displayed or not, and if it has been, where and when.
  • Price of each work if for sale, or NFS if not for sale.

*If you have shown work at Craig Gallery previously this is not required unless you would like it to be updated in our files.


  • One link either to a website or Instagram etc.
  • Any comments or questions you have.
