Along with the Meaford 150 Art Show, we will also be hosting an installation by Meaford Tidbits, which will share historical tidbits about the town. The installation will run concurrent with the 150 show from June 7th to July 1st.
Join us in the gallery on Sunday June 9th at 1:30 pm for a short talk by Viz Saraby and Mikael Sandblom, the duo behind this amazing project. Coffee & other refreshments will be served.
“Learn about our town’s history: explore our walks, watch our videos, and visit our website highlighting Meaford’s fascinating past. Learn how our town swiftly evolved into a thriving industrial hub, boasting mills, furniture manufacturing, hardwood flooring, wheelbarrow production, and foundry work. With a harbor for lake freighters and access to the rail system, Meaford’s goods reached far and wide, fostering community pride and independence. We’ll show you what life was like, and where you can still find traces of what’s been lost.” – Meaford Tidbits
