Craig Gallery Meaford is Closing

It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce that as of the end of this month, we will be closing Craig Gallery Meaford.

We would like to say that it has been a difficult decision, but faced with a major rental increase we were not expecting, and in light of the current economy (especially now heading into winter), we feel the choice is essentially out of our hands.

Please know that this is not the end of Craig Gallery. We are unsure exactly what the future holds and how it may look, but we have several ideas and will be exploring our options this winter. Though we are still reeling a bit from this upsetting turn of events and how quickly it is happening, we also feel hopeful about new beginnings, whatever they may be…

Right now our focus is on the time that remains at 4 Sykes St. North and making it memorable! We plan to have our last official day on Dec. 20th but we will be around for at least a couple more weeks to allow artists to pick up their work and clear out.

We want you to know how very grateful we are for the community who supported us through the wild ride of the last 6 years! In our final weeks before closing, we would love to see you in the gallery. We currently have a beautiful selection of art and our artisan market is open for the month. Please spread the word to friends and family to help us bring in more visitors and make our last month a success. It would certainly be a huge support to us for our next steps with the gallery and wonderful for the artists who will be losing a venue to sell their work.

To all our amazing artists, clients, volunteers and fellow art lovers, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your love and support!

Bridget, Jonathan & Ozzy
