Ric Riordon graduated with honours from a four year Fine Arts Program with continued studies in illustration and painting at Ontario College of Art (OCAD).
As a working professional, Ric was a member of the Canadian Association of Photographers and Illustrators in Communication (CAPIC), The Art Directors Club of Canada. His work has been published in international magazines, books, and corporate publications.
He and his wife, Shirley, founded The Riordon Design Group in 1989, a leading multi-disciplinary creative agency, focused on brand and design communications, which sold in 2018 to CREW Marketing Partners.
Painting and drawing has been a a lifelong profession, selling drawings and paintings through corporate engagement, galleries, and private commissions over the years. Since moving to Southern Georgian Bay, his interest in the beauty of rural landscapes has fueled a renewed interest in watercolour painting, a favourite medium.
