Scott Gooch

Scott has had a number of professions over the years but now builds custom furniture in his workshop on the Bayview Escarpment, near Coffin Ridge in Meaford, Ontario. Trained in the traditional art of hand crafting North American Windsor chairs, Scott has taken the elements that made those chairs the hallmark of comfort and elegance and incorporated them into his line of Meaford stools. No matter if the seats are solid cherry or walnut, or a combination of epoxy and live edge, they are all highly sculpted, hugging you while you sit and leaving you not wanting to get up. The legs are fitted with hand tapered and wedged tenons so that they will never ever loosen or wobble, even in homes heated with wood. Each stool design is named after a particular settlement or geographic point in the Municipality of Meaford. Custom stools can be ordered to meet your taste and requirements.
