Shannon Craig Morphew
Shannon is known best for her landscapes interpreted in a highly energetic and linear style. Her approach to painting is characterized by use of ink, paint washes and thick strokes of colour.
Shannon was born in 1977 in St. John’s, Newfoundland, where she was first influenced by the raw beauty of the Canadian landscape. Her love of art led to studies at Sheridan, followed by OCAD, earning her BFA in 2001. Her travels across Canada and through Europe have have helped enrich her experience and she has created a very unique and dynamic vision.
Shannon currently resides in Ottawa, and exhibits at solo shows in galleries across Canada. Her work is represented in private, corporate and public collections throughout Canada, the U.S., the U.K. and Ireland.
