Steve White is an artist from Walters Falls, ON, Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Queens University in printmaking and has gone on to diversify his practice to include multi-media and sculptural elements.
Steve has had solo exhibitions at the Tom Thomson Art Gallery, Wilfrid Laurier University, Grimsby Public Art Gallery and the Hamilton Museum of Steam & Technology. Recent group exhibitions include Artspace Gallery, Patchogue NY, Family Business Gallery, NYC, Islip Art Museum in Long Island, USA, Nuit Blanche, Toronto ON and Durham Art Gallery.
His work has received media attention from the Canadian Art, Toronto Star, CBC Radio, Musicworks Magazine, Utne Reader, Mountain Life Magazine, /A\Channel Television, Rogers Television, amongst others. White has received significant grants from the Canada Council for the Arts, a Chalmers Arts Fellowship, mid-career Artist grants from the Ontario Arts Council as well as an Owen Sound Cultural Award for Visual Art.
Steve’s work is held in many private and corporate collections such as Bank of Montreal, Sun Life Insurance, National Bank of Canada, Universal Energy and Maple Leaf Foods and Agribank, MN, USA.
