On Friday August 2nd, 2019, we held the Grand Opening of Craig Gallery…
Five years, a baby, a global pandemic, a whole other career for Jonathan, and a crappy economy later, it sometimes amazes us that Craig Gallery is still here! It has not been an easy road most of the time, but running this little gallery has been one of the most fulfilling things in our lives.
We would like to celebrate our 5th birthday this Friday August 2nd, 2024 and you are invited!
We will have a little reception from 5pm – 7pm with lemonade, old fashioned snacks and birthday cake. A huge thank you to Heather McIlwee who is creating a special installation piece for our birthday and is making the lemonade, snacks and cake (this party would probably not be taking place if she had not made such a generous offer).
Please come by, have some snacks and take the opportunity to check out the new Tupperware Installation and the Summer Smalls Show which has some wonderful small pieces by local artists.
If you can’t make it Friday but are around this long weekend, stop into the gallery as we will have free lemonade and cupcakes all weekend, as well as special discounts on selected pieces and a chance to enter a draw for a very cool prize (winner will be announced Monday Aug. 5th).
Also taking place this long weekend is SUMMERFEST! Back for it’s 3rd year and now three days long with several new events including “Movie Under the Stars” on Friday night, “Canine Watersports” on both Saturday and Sunday, and a street dance with “The 60s Revisited” on Saturday night… along with original faves like the “Poutine Off,” “Street Sale” on Sykes and “Jeep Fest.”
Come grab your Poutine Passport ($2 each to raise money for Summerfest 2025) at Craig Gallery now until Sunday and vote for your favourite version of Poutine!
Bridget will also be participating in Doors of Meaford this year. Painting the apartment door on our building…
