We are thrilled to announce that our website upgrade is finally complete! Though things may not look that different, we have made some significant changes behind the scenes that will give you a better experience and hopefully keep things running smoothly for the foreseeable future. We also had some email issues after changing our hosting over (between March 8-12), so if you got a bounce back or you never heard back from us, please try us again. Please note: the emails submissions@, events@ and workshops@ are no longer operational. Any inquiries for submissions, events and workshops can all be directed to the info@craiggallery.ca email.
Support Canadian Art
In these uncertain economic times amidst the ongoing trade war between the United States and Canada it is very encouraging to see so many Canadians step up to support Canadian businesses and products.
We want to take this opportunity to remind you that our artists are Canadian and living and creating art in Ontario.
For the past two years, during a sluggish economy, it has not been the best time for artists and galleries (while this may not be true for everyone, this statement is based off our experience, as well as the experience of some of the other Ontario galleries and many artists we connect with). For several, sales have been especially bleak since the American presidential election.
If you care about Canadian art and artists, and if you are in a place that you can afford it, please consider buying some original art. If you are a business owner, please be aware that any purchase of original Canadian art over $200 is 100% tax deductible if it is for your place of business.
If you are an art appreciator, but not in a place to purchase, we totally understand, and we want you to know that you are always welcome to come in and enjoy beautiful art in this space and be inspired. We invite you to support us in other ways, like telling friends and family about Craig Gallery, promoting us on social media, or writing a positive Google review etc.
And for those collectors who do not have anymore space to hang art, we get that too, and we want to remind you that art can be a wonderful gift for someone starting their own collection. We have gift cards available, and art at many different price points!
Finally, for our American collectors, we have appreciated your business over the years, and we know that many of you do not support the tariffs imposed on Canadian goods. As of this writing on March 19, there are currently no tariffs on Canadian art going to the USA so anything shipped to you will still be be duty free.
